The Bickford slides have always been a favorite of mine, especially in the late spring with the green moss and wildflowers. Now I can look forward to adding an excellent bushwhack to my next waterfall visit!NeoAkelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06780444851250977133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-86710358956462852362012-04-05T10:28:18.539-04:002012-04-05T10:28:18.539-04:00Thanks, John! The last time I did Bickford Slides Loop, Carol and I were caught in a thunderstorm at the Middle Slide pool and hightailed it out. It was nice to have more time to appreciate all the brook scenery. And for a whack, Sugarloaf has a very high reward-to-effort ratio.

SteveSteve Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403760631302934834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-51145418828088756282012-04-05T09:54:58.825-04:002012-04-05T09:54:58.825-04:00Steve, what a superb Springtime adventure you and ...Steve, what a superb Springtime adventure you and Cath had in Evans Notch! I realize that you eventually went your separate ways, but I'm certain you both had a great day on your tailor-made treks.

You used the word "dawdling" to describe your bushwhack. I've never known you to "dawdle". I feel that perhaps a better descriptor for your portion of the Evans Notch adventure might be something such as "methodical" or "measured"! :)

John1HappyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242409292439585691noreply@blogger.com
