Reading your great blog keeps my appetite whetted in between visits. We were a bit pressed for time due to the long trip over and back from Stowe, but thoroughly enjoyed this loop. That whole Hurricane/Jay area looks like great exploring territory, sort of a junior version of the east side of the Dix Range. The Jay Range is now on the top of the list for next visit. That one view we got of it was very inviting!

SteveSteve Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403760631302934834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-79038542910901902792015-06-28T18:54:38.010-04:002015-06-28T18:54:38.010-04:00Steve,

I did the same loop about a year ago and had the time to add on side trips to Big Crow and Hurricane. That made it an 11 mile day filled with great hiking.

It sounds like you haven't been to the Jay Range yet. You should move that to the top of your ADK list. It's a wonderful place!Telemarkmikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14244934063930648765noreply@blogger.com
