Merrill, who managed the Crawford House from 1872 to 1903. I hope it is still functional after all these years. There's nothing like getting out and enjoying winter in this way. I look forward to getting out and snowshoeing in my area in the next week or so.greener sidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10141998519037675236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-17789214697845812842009-12-19T09:33:51.829-05:002009-12-19T09:33:51.829-05:00Steve . . . you continue to amaze! What a wondro...Steve . . . you continue to amaze! What a wondrous report on a series of short hikes around the "Crawford's" area. It's rare to see a report about my Ammonoosuc Around the Lake Trail. Your write-up gave this short little trail the admiration and respect it deserves. And as always, I learned new thing from your report. For example, I did not know that it was the base of an esker where the trail runs along the NE shore the lake. Also, I was unaware of the Ray Evans story.

Thanks for a magnificent report!
John
(1HappyHiker)1HappyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242409292439585691noreply@blogger.com
