The Red Rock loop has lots of variety, and at 10.3/2900 gives you a pretty good workout. Hope you can get over there this year!

SteveSteve Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403760631302934834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-91311337943501590112011-05-17T18:12:30.354-04:002011-05-17T18:12:30.354-04:00Great report and photos Steve. I did a short traverse over Speckled and Blueberry mountains last year. I love the area. I'm going to try and do some sort of hike in there every year.

I really like this one.

Thanks for sharing,
JoeJustJoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07657236449099527872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-60865113271381698222011-05-17T16:16:44.987-04:002011-05-17T16:16:44.987-04:00Hi Chris,

Two of the other fine trips are the loop over Caribou from Rt. 113 and the ascent of Speckled via Evergreen Link and Cold Brook Trail.

SteveSteve Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16403760631302934834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-43541738142282408502011-05-17T15:44:46.184-04:002011-05-17T15:44:46.184-04:00Very neat. So much to explore when you don't worry about only hiking mountains above 4K.cooperhillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16225570314335442622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3814464431995035927.post-22556158237276764672011-05-16T23:30:00.482-04:002011-05-16T23:30:00.482-04:00Thanks, John - could be the longest post ever! ...Thanks, John - could be the longest post ever! Good thing you cut the count down or it would take two days to look through all the pictures! Thanks for a very fun day with lots of great exploring!
Definitely a repeat visit though next time with June.
JohnJohn Gutowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13662830569171676640noreply@blogger.com
